Female screenwriters and directors are severely underrepresented in the film industry. We want to change this.
The grants go to enable female filmmakers to realize their cinematic visions and not be limited by financial circumstances.

She Writes the Shift is an annual grant to amplify women's voices in the film and cultural industries!
🎬 What the From Script to Screen grant offers a female screenwriter:
From Script to Screen is more than just a scholarship – it is a springboard for women who have a story to tell but lack the resources, support or "the right connections." An annual grant that can strengthen her opportunities to create the film she has written.
The grant provides:
💸 Financial support
A seed capital to develop your script, create a pilot, or produce a proof-of-concept
Freedom to spend money on what is really needed: writing time, script feedback, technical equipment, visual pitch, actors, or smaller productions
🔥 Opportunity to take your project from idea to reality
A concrete step from “I have an idea” to “here is my project”
You don't need any previous qualifications – just a passionate vision and a desire to create something that matters.
